The photo above was photographed by Davin Lavikka lavikkaphotography.com on a special weekend where my parents and I booked a suite to celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary. While we were out on the golf course connected to the resort, my parents observed from the balcony like they were my number 1 fans.
Throughout my life, I've been avid about writing my thoughts down in a journal or a word doc. This year, I want to try something new and maybe just blog it out as if I were corresponding with the incredible Jane Austen. So here is what I would write to her.
Dear Ms. Jane Austen,
In the next year I have many Jane Austen goals to fulfill and the Pride and Purpose Project is one of them. Stay tuned as I will blog about each gown I make, the research behind each piece and the story I want to tell with it.
Stay tuned! I have a lot of work ahead of me for my New York Fashion Week show that was rescheduled to September 10th, 2022.
Remembering the moment when I saw the Dashwood Sister gowns in person on Cori, Jillian, and Kristin made my day. And I definitely needed some cheering up, since the newsletter comes after deciding to reschedule my New York Fashion Week show from February to September due to the pandemic surge.
Stay tuned, I will be much more active in sharing the design process and developing my new Jane Austen collection.
