Jane Austen News Is Always The Best News

JASNA News

Today, I felt like the little kid who never minded walking out in the Arizona heat to check for goodies in the mail. To my surprise, squished in my small NYC lobby mailbox, both pieces of mail was Jane Austen related. In the last few years, I've made an effort of reading things online or on my Kindle app, but getting the JASNA News and getting Persuasions makes me want to limit my screen time this week until I read it all.

On the cover of the JASNA News newsletter is an article about the 2023 Annual General Meeting held in Colorado and I definitely plan to attend especially because that was the state where I asked my husband to marry me 20 years ago. I felt like I summoned up my inner Lizzy to do so and thankfully, our marriage hasn't been rocky like the mountains. 2023 will also mark my 20 year wedding anniversary and I'm thinking of ways to celebrate with Janeites, as I believe special moments like this should be shared. Perhaps a wedding gown giveaway? If you have any suggestions, I will happily consider any and all.

On another happy note, I am honored to announce that I am one of the founding Board of Directors for The Holy Theatre, a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. I share this honor with  a  great group of women, Sarah Rose Kearns, Elise Pallay, Lisa Tagliaferri, Yoly Ward-Zululeta, and Lena Yasutake.

If you could, please register for the online event on July 14 7:00 - 8:15 pm.
